Depois da lista de espera do ProUni e do Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil (FIES) ter sido prorrogada por conta do coronavírus, agora é a vez da renovação de contratos do FIES. A decisão foi do Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), vinculado ao MEC, e o novo prazo vai até 30 de junho. O mesmo prazo vale para a realização de transferência de curso ou de instituição, e para solicitação de dilatação do prazo de utilização do financiamento.
O pedido de aditamento é feito inicialmente pelas instituições de ensino e, em seguida, os estudantes devem validar as informações inseridas pelas faculdades no SisFies. A princípio, a data inicial para essa solicitação era 30 de abril e agora os estudantes ganham mais 2 meses, até 30 de junho. A prorrogação foi publicada em uma portaria nesta terça-feira, dia 14 de abril, no Diário Oficial da União (DOU).
Entretanto, a medida vale apenas para os financiamentos concedidos até dezembro de 2017 pelo Sistema Informatizado do Fies (SisFies). Já os financiamentos do Novo Fies, contratados a partir de 2018, têm prazos definidos pela Caixa Econômica Federal.
Há dois tipos de adiantamento ou renovação de contratos no FIES, o simplificado e o não simplificado, e ambos devem ser renovados semestralmente. Nos aditamentos simplificados, a renovação é feita a partir da validação do estudante no sistema. Já nos não simplificados, que é quando há modificação de alguma cláusula contratual, como mudança de fiador, por exemplo, o aluno deve levar a documentação comprobatória ao banco (Caixa ou Banco do Brasil) para finalizar a processo.
O FIES
O Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil (FIES) é um programa do governo que oferece financiamentos para estudantes de universidades particulares. Para concorrer, o estudante deve ter feito uma das edições do Enem a partir de 2010 e ter média de no mínimo 450 pontos, além de não poder zerar a redação.
