O período da abolição da escravatura foi um acontecimento histórico marcado para a população negra com uma herança escravagista com consequências até os dias atuais. E o ENEM como a maior prova de admissão ao ensino superior do Brasil, exige dos estudantes contextos históricos e interpretação de acontecimentos no país e no mundo.

Portanto, se você vai prestar o Enem é essencial que você se prepare para a prova que vai testar os seus conhecimentos práticos e teóricos. Além de avaliar sua bagagem cultural e de conhecimentos gerais para o desenvolvimento da redação do Enem 

E apesar de ser comum ouvimos o discurso que “não existe mais racismo no Brasil”, a verdade é que por muitos anos acreditou-se na existência da democracia racial, mas o que impera é o racismo estrutural. E por isso, é tão importante e urgente falar sobre 13 de maio, o Dia da Abolição da Escravatura no Brasil. 

Durante mais de 300 anos, o trabalho escravo se manteve como base da economia brasileira. Porém, em 13 de maio de 1888, a Princesa Isabel assinou a Lei Áurea, concedendo a liberdade total aos escravos. 

Mas mesmo diante de uma lei para proibir exploração de mão de obra escrava, o cenário era de inexistência de políticas públicas para promover a inclusão da população negra nos âmbitos sociais e para tratar a desigualdade social e econômica. 

E assim arrastando até hoje a marginalização e exclusão social da população negra, possibilitando que tal prática permaneça presente em seus cotidianos e impactando em atividades como, por exemplo, o acesso ao mercado de trabalho, à educação, principalmente do nível superior e até mesmo a serviços públicos.

Besouro

No filme “Besouro”, você terá a chance de conhecer um importante personagem para a história brasileira, mas que acabou ficando perdido no tempo com o passar dos anos.

O filme retrata a história do famoso capoeirista Manuel Henrique Pereira, onde um menino órfão se transformou em um grande mestre da capoeira e passou a ser conhecido como Besouro.

Mas o principal motivo desse filme estar nessa lista é porque mesmo depois de décadas depois da abolição da escravatura no Brasil, em 1920 ainda existiam negros subjugados e condenados ao trabalho escravo. E para mulheres negras a situação era ainda mais cruel, uma vez eram submetidas tanto ao trabalho forçado como também há constantes agressões sexuais.  

É nesse cenário real que acontece a história do filme Besouro, onde um menino negro que nasceu 10 anos após a abolição da escravatura aprende a lutar capoeira e parte para batalha contra os coronéis. 

Se você é uma pessoa curiosa e está se perguntando do porquê do nome Besouro, saiba que esse apelido é uma consequência da determinação do Manuel para aprender um golpe voador, seu grande trunfo na luta contra a opressão do seu povo. 

Quilombo

Voltando bastante no tempo, o filme “Quilombo” acontece em torno de 1650, onde um grupo de escravos se rebela em um engenho de Pernambuco e fogem em direção ao Quilombo dos Palmares. E aqui é importante prestar muita atenção nos detalhes, porque essas informações, provavelmente, você pode encontrar em alguma questão do ENEM. 

O Quilombo dos Palmares era uma colônia brasileira, localizada na Serra da Barriga, no estado de Alagoas, onde era habitado por uma nação de ex-escravos fugitivos e resistentes ao cerco colonial. Só até aqui já é uma baita aula de história, mas calma porque tem mais conteúdo relevante nesse filme, vem comigo! 

Acontece que o personagem principal do filme Quilombo é simplesmente o Ganga Zumba, um príncipe africano escravizado, fugitivo que no decorrer da história acaba se tornando o líder do Quilombo de Palmares por muitos anos. E não para por aí!  

Mais tarde o seu herdeiro e afilhado, Zumbi, vai acabar discordando das ideias do Ganga Zumba e enfrentará o maior exército já visto na história colonial brasileira. Enfim, esse filme é sem sombra de dúvida requisito obrigatório para vestibulandos.

Então não deixei de assistir e de contar para gente o que você achou! 

Raça 

Já o filme “Raça” veio para apresentar a trajetória do atleta negro Jesse Owens, corredor norte-americano que venceu as Olimpíadas de Berlim de 1936. E aí, essa data te lembra algum acontecimento histórico importante? Não?! 

Entre os anos de 1933 e 1945, acontecia o período Nazista, também conhecido como Terceiro Reich. Ou seja, o governo da Alemanha era controlado por, simplesmente, Adolf Hitler e pelo Partido Nacional-Socialista dos Trabalhadores Alemães (NSDAP), mais conhecido como Partido Nazista ou Nazi. Sendo assim, você já consegue imaginar todo o clímax do filme né?!

Pois bem, Jesse Owens foi o corredor negro que venceu os corredores arianos em pleno regime nazista, onde a intenção era provar ao mundo a superioridade da “raça ariana”, conforme os ideais nazistas. Mas Jesse ele não só ganhou, como acabou levando para casa 4 medalhas de ouro em diferentes competições de atletismo. 

Portanto, esse filme, mesmo não aconteça no Brasil, retrata um período extremamente racista. Principalmente, por relatar como o fascismo ao chegar no poder por meio da via eleitoral na Alemanha, acaba com as liberdades da população naquele país. 

12 anos de escravidão

12 anos de escravidão é um clássico de drama histórico. O filme é baseado na autobiografia de Solomon Northu, um homem negro que nasceu livre em Nova York. Mas acabou sendo sequestrado em uma viagem e foi vendido como escravo antes da Guerra Civil americana. 

Sendo submetido a 12 anos de escravidão, Solomon trabalhou em lavouras, viveu em cativeiros e lutou para sobreviver as mais diversas e violentas humilhações físicas e emocionais. 

Enfim, trata-se de um filme intenso! E apesar de retrata o período escravagista americano, é fundamental para os estudantes refletirem sobre os impactos e traumas causados pela escravização do povo negro.

Quanto Vale ou É Por Quilo? 

O filme “Quanto vale ou é por Quilo?” foi baseado no clássico conto “Pai Contra Mãe”, de Machado de Assis. Sendo assim, desenvolve uma comparação entre o tráfico de escravos do século XVII e a atual exploração da miséria pelo marketing social, criando uma solidariedade de fachada. 

A história acontece em torno do século XVII, onde um capitão do mato acaba captando uma escrava fugitiva grávida. É aqui onde o paralelo começa, onde compararam capitães do mato negros que capturavam escravos fugitivos.

E os matadores de aluguel que, atualmente, fazem serviços para a burguesia e órgãos de repressão, matando milhares de jovens da periferia. 

Cafundó 

Já o filme “Cafundó” veio para contar a história do João de Camargo, que acontece no final do século XIX, onde um ex-escravo acaba sendo ludibriado por viver em um mundo em transformação. Mas acontece que junto com o desesperado e encantamento para viver acabou gerando alucinações. 

João é explorado e marginalizado pela sua cor. Além de vivenciar momentos de desespero e de alucinações, onde ele passa a acreditar ser capaz de ver Deus e até de curar as pessoas. Sendo assim, João entra de cabeça em uma experiência de fé e misticismo e encontra um caminho que acredita ser a salvação, em Cafundó.

Mas ele não só acreditou ser capaz de curar as pessoas como acabou de fato curando. E foi assim que João de Camargo se tornou uma das lendas brasileiras. E aí, está com dúvida sobre o que é esse tal de “Cafundó”? Bom, basicamente, é um lugar afastado e difícil acesso. 

Enfim, nem preciso mencionar que é importante que estudantes conheçam sobre a cultura brasileira, né?! Então, continue a leitura e vamos para a última, mas não menos importante dica sobre filmes para estudar sobre a abolição da escravatura, confira! 

A 13ª Emenda

A 13° Emenda não é exatamente um filme, mas é um documentário onde estudiosos e ativistas políticos desenvolvem um comparativo entre a criminalização da população negra dos EUA e a superlotação do sistema penitenciário do país. 

E apesar desse documentário ser sobre o sistema penitenciário nos Estados Unidos, é muito fácil perceber a semelhança das prisões no Brasil. Portanto, nesse documentário você vai presenciar uma análise de como depois mais de 200 anos da abolição da escravatura, a população negra permanece sujeita a perseguições e aprisionamentos no sistema prisional das Américas. 

 E o próprio nome do documentário traz referência à décima terceira emenda constitucional americana, onde proíbe a escravidão. Mas mantém uma importante exceção: “exceto como uma punição por crime do qual a parte deve ter sido devidamente condenada”. Contraditório não acha?!
