O curso técnico em Podologia dura em torno de um ano e meio ou 1200 horas de carga horária mínima.

Como é um curso de nível técnico, geralmente é feito em conjunto com o ensino médio em escolas técnicas. Mas também é possível fazer apenas o curso, desde que já tenha concluído o ensino médio.

Por ter uma durabilidade menor que a graduação, o técnico é mais curto e prático, fornecendo o necessário para o aluno se qualificar e ser rapidamente inserido no mercado de trabalho. Inclusive, é possível começar a trabalhar na área ainda estudando, através de estágios de Podologia.

No técnico, o aluno aprende a realizar avaliações, diagnósticos e tratamentos para problemas nos pés, além de técnicas de higiene e prevenção de doenças.

Pode ser cursado presencial ou então EAD (ensino à distância). Mas, se for online, deve ter no mínimo 50% de atividades presenciais na instituição de ensino. Portanto, um curso semipresencial.

A média salarial nacional de um técnico em Podologia é de R$ 1.587,66, considerando uma jornada de trabalho de 42 horas semanais. Pode ser maior, variando de acordo com a localização do profissional, seus cursos e experiência.

Graduação em Podologia

 A graduação em Podologia é um curso mais completo que o técnico e por isso tem uma duração maior, entre um ano e meio a três anos.

Para fazer uma graduação, o único requisito é ter concluído o ensino médio. E, claro, passar no vestibular da instituição, conseguir uma bolsa de estudos pelo Prouni (Programa Universidade Para Todos) ou pelo Amigo Edu (com descontos de até 80% na mensalidade).

O curso tecnólogo de Podologia está disponível nas três modalidades de ensino: presencial, semipresencial e EAD.
