O que é um curso a distância? 

O curso a distância é uma opção ou possibilidade de ensino, reconhecida e autorizada pelo MEC (Ministério da Educação), que permite que estudantes de todo o país conquistem seu primeiro diploma, bem como se especializarem nas mais diversas áreas de pós-graduação por meio da internet.

Esse modelo de ensino vem crescendo diante da transformação digital que possibilitou o acesso à educação com horários e turnos flexíveis, além de toda a praticidade que este formato oferece.

O ensino à distância funciona de forma simples e prática. Exige apenas que o estudante tenha acesso à internet, para que, assim, ele possa navegar pelos conteúdos com o auxílio do ambiente virtual de aprendizagem, o famoso AVA. Nesta sala virtual, o aluno poderá assistir às aulas, ter acesso aos textos e realizar as tarefas.

A apresentação de curso a distância, ou seja, os trabalhos acadêmicos que o aluno deve desenvolver e apresentar aos colegas e professores ao longo de todo o curso, pode ser realizada também pelo AVA, ou então na própria instituição, presencialmente.

É importante ressaltar que por mais que o ensino no geral seja online, existe toda uma infraestrutura de ponta disposta a formar bons profissionais para o mercado, independente da área de escolha.

Quais são os tipos de cursos à distância 

São diversas as opções e tipos de cursos à distância que existem no Brasil. No entanto, apresentaremos apenas quatro deles que vem ganhando força entre os estudantes, seja ele acadêmico até cursos livres e preparatórios.

Mas antes de conhecê-los, vale a pena lembrar que, independentemente do formato ou tipo de curso, ele deve ser autorizado e reconhecido pelo MEC. Só assim o seu diploma terá validade em todo o território nacional.

Curso técnico a distância 

Os cursos técnicos ou profissionalizantes costumam ser mais curtos, com um tempo de duração menor que uma graduação, por exemplo.

O seu principal foco é formar profissionais qualificados de maneira mais rápida a fim de estarem aptos a atuar no mercado de trabalho. Além disso, o curso técnico a distância é regulamentado pelo MEC e tem a mesma validade que o presencial.

Curso de graduação a distância 

O curso de graduação a distância é igual ao curso presencial, desde a carga horária a ser cumprida, até as atividades, diploma e grade curricular. A diferença está apenas em seu formato.

Fazem parte dos cursos de graduação EAD as áreas de Ciências Exatas, Humanas e Biológicas, sendo os graus de bacharelado, licenciatura e tecnólogo.

Assim como já mencionamos, o curso de graduação a distância é regulamentado pelo MEC, e tem a mesma qualificação que a modalidade presencial. Inclusive, vale destacar que no diploma não consta se o curso foi EAD, presencial, ou ainda, semipresencial.

Geralmente, os cursos na modalidade online são mais em conta do que os presenciais.

Curso de pós-graduação a distância 

Diversas instituições de ensino já estão aptas a oferecer o curso de pós-graduação a distância, até em áreas que ainda não existe a opção de graduação EAD, como Odontologia.

A duração varia de acordo com o nível de formação, como MBA, mestrado e doutorado.

É importante ressaltar que durante a realização da pós-graduação, algumas atividades podem exigir que o aluno compareça presencialmente à universidade. O ideal é consultar a regulamentação da instituição que você pretende ingressar.

Curso preparatório para concurso a distância 

Além dessas opções apresentadas, existem ainda cursos de diversos tipos, sejam eles livres, como de idiomas, cursos gratuitos do governo federal a distância oferecidos com o intuito de promover o acesso à educação, até curso preparatório para concurso.

O curso preparatório para concurso a distância tem como objetivo preparar o candidato para a prova ou exame de concurso, seja para qualquer área de atuação.

Qual a diferença entre curso a distância, presencial e semipresencial?

Os três principais formatos de curso são: a distância, presencial e semipresencial. Você sabe a diferença entre eles?

O ensino à distância acontece basicamente no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem, e exige do aluno apenas alguns encontros presenciais, mas eles não são frequentes. Já o semipresencial deve ter ao menos 20% da carga horária destinada a aulas à distância, sendo sua origem presencial, como a realização das avaliações e provas.

Assim como na Enfermagem à distância, cursos da área da saúde também podem ser encontrados no formato EAD, entretanto, a opção semipresencial acaba sendo mais procurada devido às aulas práticas em laboratórios.

Por último, o curso presencial, como o próprio nome já diz, exige a presença do aluno na instituição. A diferença nesta modalidade é que a presença é obrigatória, e apenas algumas atividades são a distância.
